CompIQ has continued to publicize the reinvestment being made in the company’s underlying technology and infrastructure. One of the key aspects of this reinvestment is a full migration from an on-prem data center to being fully cloud based. As of June 2021, CompIQ is nearing the completion of this heavy but important undertaking, which includes migrating all infrastructure into the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
Microsoft has always been an important partner to CompIQ as the company touts itself as a “Microsoft shop” and as this Azure migration is completed over the coming months it will further expand upon this long-term relationship. This migration was led by CompIQ’s VP of IT/IS Jenny Durgin and once completed, will conclude what was an 18 month project focused at providing a more reliable and secure platform for CompIQ’s valued clients. While not happening overnight, the long-term strategy is to tap into other innovative and market leading tools provided by both Microsoft Azure’s cloud solutions, other third-party providers, and internally developed solutions that will improve overall performance of the platform and security.

This step moves CompIQ in line with current technologies that will enable us to enhance the system in multiple ways. Not only will the foundation of our infrastructure allow for more robust security measures, it will also allow us to take advantage of native Microsoft Azure technologies to improve the end user experience.”
